Artist's Description
Black and white photo of a antique storefront and wooden wagon in Cody, Wyoming. Overlaid with a hand-created pen and ink grain texture and the edges of the image blurred and darkened a bit to give an antique feel.
"But the West of the old times, with its strong characters, its stern battles and its tremendous stretches of loneliness, can never be blotted from my mind."
~ Buffalo Bill Cody
About Janeen Wassink Searles
Welcome! I'm a photographer currently living in northwest Iowa, but soon to be moving to Cody, Wyoming where my emphasis will be Victorian and Old West imagery. My portfolio is pretty mixed at the moment. I've been trying some different things like using a flatbed scanner to create macro images instead of a camera, adding textures to images with pen and ink stippling, and using the program Apophysis to experiment with fractal patterns. I also have a couple of images in there that were taken with vintage cameras from my collection. Thanks for visiting!
