Artist's Description
Clusters of barnacles, slightly submerged, against a black background.
"We just say, "Barnacles!"
It's a word that's okay to scream
When you want to let off some steam
And say what you really mean."

About Janeen Wassink Searles
Welcome! I'm a photographer currently living in northwest Iowa, but soon to be moving to Cody, Wyoming where my emphasis will be Victorian and Old West imagery. My portfolio is pretty mixed at the moment. I've been trying some different things like using a flatbed scanner to create macro images instead of a camera, adding textures to images with pen and ink stippling, and using the program Apophysis to experiment with fractal patterns. I also have a couple of images in there that were taken with vintage cameras from my collection. Thanks for visiting!

Love this! But then I love all things Beach! If money was no object I would live at Surfside Beach, SC and drive a golf cart when not walking on the beach too. Great job.

Janeen, I wrote you this long message on our group discussion page this morning and it all got erased because it was time for me to login again. I was so mad I had to walk away! Thanks for joining the group! You have great enthusiasm and I could relate to what you said when you mentioned the other work that you had seen. The beauty and talent on this site is so incredible that when I see someone's work that greatly inspires me (yeah, like every other one), I feel like I want to try a new thing. We will talk more....welcome!
